Knowing where to sell your products and services may be nearly as important as knowing how to sell them. If you lack a proper marketplace for your goods, then you may as well pack up and go home – no one’s buying!

Today, however, is one of the best times to sell nearly anything. There are more places to sell than ever before, and this increases nearly every single day. The advent of selling online has opened up markets that heretofore you’d never have dreamed were open to you.

Say you live in Los Angeles, and you have an information product that you’d like to sell to a gentleman in Hungary. With a few clicks of a mouse, the transaction is complete, the customer has his product, and you have your money.

Ten years ago this wasn’t possible. Today it happens thousands of times a day. The trick for you is to know where to sell your offerings that is the most advantageous for you.

You can of course host your own site. This can be done on your own domain, or on a free site such as a Squidoo lens, a Blogger blog, Tripod, Wordpress.com or many of the other free solutions out there.

You could also have an eBay store, a Yahoo store, an Amazon store.

If you’re doing affiliate marketing or cost per action offers (CPA), you may link directly to the merchants.

You can market to some of the online classified sites, such as Craigslist and BackPage.

If you are deep into the social networking scene you can try your hand at marketing (carefully) to Twitter, MySpace and Facebook.

There are literally thousands of places to sell your wares online, and the only thing that can stand in your way is the enormity of all those choices. Ignore that, and start learning where to sell your products and services!
